- Q. Why can't Buyers pay by credit card?
Simply because credit card charges can unfortunately be easily reversed after
the transfer of a Domain Name. Domain Name transfer reversal on the other hand is
extremely difficult (basically impossible, without the cooperation of the new Domain Name
owner). URLMerchant has instituted this policy for the security of both the Domain
Name Seller and itself.
- Q. Why doesn't URLMerchant post Seller's asking prices?
So as not to scare off potential Buyers with a high or out of date asking prices. Most names sell
for less than the asking price through the process of negotiation. While a Seller might ask
$40,000 for a Domain Name, it is possible that they may take less. URLMerchant facilitates and
conducts negotiations between Buyers and Sellers. All bids over $750 are always considered. Check out
the prices on out Updated Specials page
- Q. How do I know I'll receive my new Domain Name once I've paid for it?
URLMerchant will under no circumstances release a Buyers' funds to a Seller until
a Domain Name has been successfully transferred. Buyer funds will be refunded in whole if
a Domain Name is not transferred - no fees are deducted for failed or aborted Domain Name
transfers.
- Q. Are there any additional fees and if so, who pays them?
Yes. InterNIC requires a renewal of their registration fee when Domain Names are
transferred to a new owner. The current InterNIC fee is $70.00 USD for two years
registration and $35.00 USD per year thereafter. The Buyer is responsible for this fee and
will be billed directly by InterNIC. An insufficient funds fee of $100 applies to returned checks. Priority
international postage fees are $25. Wire transfer fees are $20 per transfer (incoming and outgoing).

- Q. Where is URLMerchant located?
URLMerchant is located in the central United States outside Downtown Oklahoma City,
OK. Our address is 11124 NE 5th, Choctaw, OK, 73020, USA.
- Q. If my initial offer is $1000, and the URLMerchant Bid Master tells me the Seller's asking price is $14,500, what should I do?
Make a counter offer of course! If a Seller lists a price of $14,500 USD as the
asking price, it is our experience that a sale would actually occur at a lower price than that (although not always).
If you don't make a counter offer and try to negotiate an agreeable price, then you won't get the name you want.
Don't be discouraged, make a counter offer!

sales and can afford to lower our rates. In order to continue to earn your respect and business
and to further our lead as the best domain name brokerage firm on the Internet,
we have the LOWEST IN THE BUSINESS. Instead of charging a
flat 15% commission like other sites, we charge just 6.75% commission plus a $239 fee for any sale that we broker for
our clients that list with us. URLMerchant charges a commission rate lower
than any other major domain name brokerage company. Looks like there isn't one reason left for you not
